Florida’s Lieutenant Governor (LG) Jay Collins has spent over 23 years of his life serving in the US Army’s Special Forces. In 2007, he was severely wounded during battle in Afghanistan in his arm. He performed self-surgery on his arm - during the firefight - yet continued to fight and remained in country during his recuperation. After only thirty days, he rejoined his unit to continue their mission. When later injuries resulted in the amputation of his leg, his determination led him to requalify as a Green Beret and he continued to serve five more years on active duty. After his military retirement, LG Collins became involved with a non-profit that oversaw the distribution of millions of meals to veterans, first responders, and families in need. His goals never changed; to make life more affordable, our communities safer and more secure, and that our future generations have the opportunity to succeed. He served Florida as a State Senator for District 14 since 2022, authoring and passing 55 pieces of legislation until his selection as Florida’s Lieutenant Governor in August 2025. He is seeking to continue serving Florida as the next Governor.
On May 27 at 4:00 in the Lake Ashton Ballroom, please join us to hear LG Jay Collins’ vision for our future Florida and a short Questions and Answers period after his address. Guests are sincerely welcomed and invited.
